As a writer, I try and decipher my feelings and share them with others. The written word for me is sort of like a conduit from my head to yours. People have been writing since the beginning of time with the same purpose; to make our thoughts tangible to others. It doesn't matter whether it's a stone tablet or a MacBook,it fulfills a need to share our most important thoughts..If you are of the christian faith you believe that that the bible is the ultimate of written word. Ahh, but then God....see.. he just skips all the writing..and the really really important things he needs to say to us..well, there are no written words.. the conduit must be bigger than the written word... Living through the loss of someone else requires a HUGE conduit from God to us to make it all tangible. And sometimes his stone tablet becomes a beautiful sunset, crosses in the sky, eagles, full moons, serendipitous encounters..and lately for me..a little tiny sparrow that comes to my deck and sits with me everyday I am writing on my stone tablet. It's Unmistakable when it happens isn't it?
