I remember on September 11 that I was in a classroom of 10th graders and the news of the event was being broadcasted over the loud speaker. Kids who were usually laughing, struggling with school and yes, irritating me were immediatley turned into 3 year olds who wanted their moms and dads. I wanted my mom and dad! I remember children hiding under their desks, worrying that a plane would hit our school. I remember parents panicking and grabbing their children. It was a day that we all understood the vulnerability of our freedom in jeapordy. To all of ous who experienced it, we learned about vulnerability.. so when you see soldiers walking through the mall or down the street, stop and "thank them" for keeping our freedom alive.
